The Annual Cornhole Tournament is held each Spring at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club, located at 8000 Capps Ferry Road in Douglasville. Proceeds from the Cornhole Tournament benefit annual Leadership Scholarships that are presented to local high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service potential. Proceeds also fund young professionals seeking to further their education. The double elimination Cornhole Tournament begins at 11 a.m., with registration beginning at 10 a.m.. Registration is $35 for each team of two. In addition to the Cornhole Tournament, food
and drinks are available for purchase for those attending. For added enjoyment, there will be live music to enjoy and a raffle for a set of boards from West GA Cornhole. The Cornhole Tournament is open to teams of all ages. Due to the nature of Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club, the Cornhole Tournament is a rain or shine event.
Win $10,000 from the Douglas County Chamber! Tickets can be purchased from Chamber Board Members or at the Chamber office located at 6658 Church Street in downtown Douglasville. Drawings will take place in a reverse raffle format at the Centre at Arbor Connection during the Comcast Business After Hours in May 2018.
In a reverse raffle, the first ticket drawn is not the winner, but will be worth $100 to the ticket holder. The top prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the lucky person holding the 350th, or last ticket drawn, but that’s not all. The 349th ticket drawn is worth $2,000, and the 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, 250th and 300th tickets drawn will bring ticket holders $500.
The 2018 Chamber Golf Classic will be held on September 21, 2018 at Mirror Lake Golf & Country Club. The Douglas County Chamber Golf Classic is the premier golf event of the year in West Georgia. Each year, a sell-out of more than 250 golfers, over 100 sponsors and 100 volunteers participate in this greatly anticipated event. Complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages and incredible door prizes are all included in the price.

Each October, Chamber Member businesses receive a “Big Thank You” from the Douglas County Chamber – our Member Appreciation Month. Our Board Members, Diplomats, and Chamber Staff go door-to-door visiting member businesses to learn how to better serve our members. We want our members to be educated on ways to get connected in our community and the Chamber. The more engaged our Chamber members are in training, seminars, networking events, and committees, the more opportunities they have to translate their membership into more business.
The Douglas County Chamber Winter Ball is the “don’t miss” event that jump-starts our new calendar year.
The Winter Ball marks the changing of the guard for the Chamber’s Chairman of the Board, and it also gives us the opportunity to recognize Douglas County’s Citizen of the Year, The Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, and the Chamber Chairman’s Award.
The Winter Ball is also well known for the delicious food, silent and live auction items, and extraordinary entertainment. A table of 10 at the Winter Ball is $1,250 and sponsorships start at $1,500.

We are excited to announce the inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference! The conference is part of the Chamber’s Professional Development Series for 2018 powered by GreyStone Power Corporation. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 21st, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Centre at Arbor Connection.
The half-day conference will highlight the ability of all women to create positive change in their communities and in their own lives – both professionally and personally – while recognizing the extraordinary power that exists when women come together to support one another. The conference will feature two professional motivational speakers from the Metro Atlanta area, Stefanie Diaz and Kristy Dickerson.
Tickets are $79 for Non-Chamber Members and $59 for Chamber Members. The admission price includes professional keynote speakers, breakout sessions, a light breakfast, lunch, shopping at “chick” exhibits, games, prizes, and a keepsake journal.
Each October, the Douglas County Chamber Board of Directors and staff fire up the grills, pull out the tables and work together to hold an event that celebrates our members – the Member Appreciation Cookout! This event is free for all of our members and their employees. This is a simple way for us to say thank you for being a member. Join us on October 31st from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. – costumes are welcome (we will be in ours!).
