Request for Proposal: Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development Consultant

The Douglas County Chamber (DCC) and Douglas County Economic Development Authority (DCEDA) are seeking proposals for a Project Based Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development Consultant. The purpose of the Small Business and Entrepreneurial Development Consultant (SBEDC) is to develop and map out an entrepreneurial pipeline for businesses in Douglasville and Douglas County. Additionally, the SBEDC will be tasked with presenting the tools and action items necessary to create and implement the aforementioned pipeline.

The SBEDC selected will create original written content using foundational principles identified in the Community and Economic Development Strategic Plan, the DCC Small Business Program of Work and Strategy, the Douglas County Small Business Incubator Feasibility Study, as well as any additional data that may be required. The consultant will also make a formal oral presentation of the completed work to the boards of both organizations. The two entities will utilize the deliverables as a basis to hire a full-time staff person to implement the project.

The intent of the DCC/DCEDA is for this to be a 16-week project with final deliverables being presented to the DCC/DCEDA the week of October 26, 2020.
