Woolfson Eye Institute Doctors, staff, and Chamber representatives celebrated the grand opening of their new location in Douglasville by holding a Douglas County Chamber Ribbon Cutting on April 25th. They are located at 8458 Campbellton St. Douglasville, GA, 30134.

After immigrating from South Africa at 17, Dr. Jonathan Woolfson pursued his education at the University of the South and Vanderbilt Medical School before completing a residency in ophthalmology at Emory. Upon returning to the Southeast US, he recognized the need for a comprehensive eye care practice to serve the region’s patients. In 2002, alongside optometrist Tom Spetalnick, OD, Woolfson established Custom Laser Eye. Dr. Woolfson returned to the Southeast with a vision: to establish a practice capable of delivering exceptional refractive procedures to patients through a robust infrastructure serving numerous optometrists and ophthalmologists in the region. Prioritizing accessibility for patients and referring doctors, they laid the groundwork for what evolved into the esteemed Woolfson Eye Institute, now celebrating its 23rd year.
