Weekly Legislative Update – Week 3

Thursday, January 29 was the eighth legislative day of the 2015 40-day session. They plan to be in session three days this week, meeting on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The calendar has been set through Thursday, February 12, which will be the fifteenth legislative day.

The major issues last week were the passage of the 2014-2015 supplemental budget by the House and the passage of the autism bill by the Senate. Also last week, Transportation Committee Chair Jay Roberts introduced House Bill 170, the Transportation Infrastructure Funding bill. This important legislation will need the strong support of the business community to ensure passage.
