Most people know them as the first white tablecloth dining experience in Douglas County for offering a quality Italian dining experience and good service, but beyond that and more, they embody the spirit of community partnership. 

Sam and Rosco’s Italian Eatery stands as a testament to dedication, quality, and community. 

Sam and Rosco’s story began in 1987 when Sam Ahmed and his partner Rosco Sayyar embarked on their journey under the umbrella of Aldo’s food franchise. The duo brought with them a passion for Italian cuisine and a vision to create a dining experience that Douglas County had yet to witness. This vision has now transcended generations with Arman Sayyar, son of Rosco Sayyar, as the second-generation owner. 

The restaurant is a favorite among Douglas County residents and visitors. It isn’t just the food that draws people in, but the warm atmosphere and the genuine hospitality that made every guest feel like family. Community members praise the dedicated staff who have been serving for decades, making it a place they love to return to. 

Over the past 37 years, Sam and Rosco’s has become much more than just a place to enjoy a delicious meal. The restaurant has played an integral role in the community, actively participating in numerous local causes. From supporting schools and nonprofits to hosting civic fundraisers and special activities, Sam and Rosco’s has consistently given back to the community that has supported them. 

Their commitment to community engagement has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of their unwavering dedication and impact, the Douglas County Chamber honored Sam and Rosco’s as the 2023 Business of the Year. 

Looking ahead, the legacy of Sam and Rosco’s continues to inspire the next generation of leaders in Douglas County. Additionally, Arman Sayyar is the 2024 Chair of the Douglas County Young Professionals, a program of the Douglas County Chamber aimed at attracting emerging professionals to engage, develop, and serve in Douglas County. 

Sam and Rosco’s is more than just a restaurant; it is a symbol of what Douglas County truly represents. As they look to the future, Sam and Rosco’s remain committed to serving their community with the same passion and dedication that has defined their journey from the very beginning.
