Local Business and Community Leaders Visit State Delegation for Douglas County Day at the Capitol
Douglasville, GA (March 22, 2022) – The Douglas County Chamber, City of Douglasville and Douglas County Government collaborated to plan this year’s Douglas County Day at the Capitol sponsored by AT&T. The group of 45 community leaders met with Douglas County representatives on Friday, March 18th to discuss legislative priorities for the community. This was the largest Day at the Capitol to date for Douglas County, and with the collaboration between the Chamber, City and County, the interests of our community with this diverse group were effectively represented.
The group attended meetings with members of Douglas County’s delegation including, Senator Mike Dugan, Senator Donzella James, Representative Kimberly Alexander, Representative William Boddie, Representative Roger Bruce, Representative J. Collins, Representative Mandisha Thomas, and Representative Micah Gravely. During the meetings, the group was informed of updates on legislative committees and legislature items that were currently being discussed.
Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Sara Ray, commented “The Douglas County Chamber is very appreciative of the community and business leaders who took time out of their business to promote our community needs to elected officials at the State Capitol,”
