Douglas County Students Salute Veterans
18th Annual Lighted Douglas County Veterans Day Parade. Douglas County High School Army JROTC, Chapel Hill High School Future Business Leaders of America, Chapel Hill High School Navy JROTC, Alexander HS JROTC, Lithia Springs HS JROTC, Alexander High School Cougar Marching Band and the Chapel Hill High School Panther Band will make appearances during the celebration. Starts at Douglas County High School and proceeds north on Campbellton Street. Performance area on Campbellton Street between Spring and Church Streets. Saturday at 7pm.

Factory Shoals Elementary School, Veterans Day Assembly with the Color Guard and flags. Friday at 1:00pm; luncheon honoring veterans in media center immediately before assembly

Chapel Hill Elementary School, Indoor Parade. Service members invited to attend. Service members speaking to classes following parade. Friday, 8:15 a.m
North Douglas Elementary School, Special Program, featuring the North Douglas Chorus and North Douglas Drum Corps. Friday, 10am Gym
Eastside Elementary School, 7:30 am Raising of the Flag with a Song; Certificates of Appreciation hand delivered to seven school based Military Veterans. Friday, 7:30AM.
Bill Arp Elementary, School Assembly Speakers: Beverly Stone, Navy veteran and Bill Arp 4th grade teacher and Vietnam veteran Paul Spence, Sr. Reception follows. Friday 9am.
