Douglas County Chamber Announces New Board Leadership Through 2026
Douglasville, GA (September 29, 2023) The Douglas County Chamber (DCC) is pleased to announce two new members of the Chamber Board of Directors, along with the 2024 new Board officers. Lyndsey Sargent with Douglasville-Douglas County Water & Sewer Authority and Nia Brown with Majestic Etiquette, will began one-year board terms in January 2024. In addition to new board leadership, Trent North, Superintendent of Douglas County Schools will lead the Board as 2024 Chairman.
North joined the Chamber Board in January 2017 and served on the Executive Board since 2022. Additionally, Mr. North was heavily involved in the creation of the DCC 2022-24 Strategic Plan and was a key component and founding member of Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership since 2020.
In addition to North, the following individuals will serve as members of the Chamber Board’s Executive Committee for 2024: University of West Georgia President Dr. Brendan Kelly, Chair Elect; Trevor Quander with Georgia Power Company as Chair Elect-Elect; Shandron Forte with POSolutions, Inc. As Treasurer; and Nadia Faucette with GreyStone Power Corporation as Immediate Past Chair.
“We’re delighted to add such a strong cohort of leaders to our Board,” said Chamber President & CEO Sara Ray. “They represent a wide array of industries and backgrounds, and they share a deep commitment to the economic success of our community.”
New Board Leadership will be recognized at the DCC Annual Meeting on December 6th T which will include passing of the gavel to install North as Chairman as well as recognizing outgoing Board Members Gil Shearouse with DDCWSA and Kyle Gable with Pioneer Land Group. The new terms of leadership will be effective January 1st, 2024,
