Cumberland Community Church Celebrates Grand Opening of Douglasville Campus
Cumberland Community Church Douglasville lead pastor, Matt McGue, staff, members, and Chamber representatives celebrated their grand opening by holding a DC Chamber Ribbon Cutting on November 28th. The mission of Cumberland Community Church is to love, feed, connect and motivate people through worship, prayer, and service. They are currently holding services at Heirway Christian Academy located at 6758 Spring Street in Douglasville.
Cumberland Community Church began in 2012 in Smyrna, Georgia. Their desire is to be a cooperative catalyst of change, serving and loving unselfishly to make the community a better place for all people. Cumberland Community Church recently opened their Douglasville location in October 2018. They are an intentionally multi-ethnic, gospel-centered, community-engaging, Jesus exalting church.
Cumberland Community Church places a high value on serving the community. One of their biggest outreach programs is their “Peace Truck”. They use the re-engineered food truck to bring peace, hope and love to children in distressed communities, apartment complexes and trailer parks. The Peace Truck can be found at local events and community festivals to provide drinks or snacks to the community.
Chamber President and CEO, Sara Ray, congratulated Matt, “We are excited you chose Douglasville for another location of Cumberland Community Church, and we look forward to supporting and promoting your organization for many years as you serve the community.”
