Chamber Celebrates Award Winners at Annual Banquet

The Douglas County Chamber’s 69^th Annual Awards Banquet presented by Regions Bank was held on Saturday, February 1^st at The Centre at Arbor Connection.  The Banquet sold out with over 400 people gathered for a Tuscan themed evening filled with good spirits and great successes.  The Chamber Awards Banquet honored local businesses and individuals for community excellence.

While the food served by Sam & Rosco’s Restaurant, endless silent auction items and Wine Pull raffle were hot topics at the event, the buzz about the awards was contagious.  2014 Chamber Chairman, Matt Barrington, and former 2013 Chairman John Sell presented awards to those outstanding members of our community including:

Douglas County’s Citizen of the Year, Juanita Clay from A Gift of Love

Small Business of the Year, Ben Hill Roofing & Siding Company

Large Business of the Year, Kaiser Permanente

Diplomat of the Year, Michelle Volk

Chamber Spirit Award, Jim McMichen of Visiting Angels

Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award, Lorie Bomar of Atlanta’s Finest Catering
