Anything but Ordinary Events and More Celebrates One Year In Downtown Douglasville

DSC_0018Anything but Ordinary Events and More owner, JaMelia Stroud, staff, family, and Chamber representatives celebrated one year in business by holding a DC Chamber Ribbon Cutting on May 17th. Anything but Ordinary Events and More is a venue with a warm earthy feeling, a stylish twist, and flair. They are located at 6650 West Broad Street in downtown Douglasville.

Anything but Ordinary Events and More is the dream of owner JaMelia Baylor-Stroud, a 13-year native of Douglasville and public school educator. Her life-long theme has been “Dare to be Different”. She has a talent for out-of-the-box thinking and gift for translating a client’s vision into a chic reality.

The unique layout of the space offers clients an elegant and intimate atmosphere to host events that caters to any client’s vision. The space is equipped with a full kitchen, bar, and a large space to host events such as dinner parties, book signing and discussions, wine tastings, bridal showers, birthday parties, receptions, workshops and baby showers, and more. The staff assists clients with the development of a vision and dream by providing design, decoration, catering, and layout ideas during the initial consultation.

Chamber President and CEO, Sara Ray, congratulated JaMelia, “Wow, a year as flown by! We are so proud to have you as a Chamber member and that you chose to locate your business in downtown Douglasville. We look forward to seeing what the next year holds for Anything but Ordinary Events and More as you help create lasting memories for your clients.”
