Douglas County Chamber Announces Leadership Douglas Class of 2025 Graduates

The Douglas County Chamber proudly announces the graduation of the Leadership Douglas Class of 2025. A celebration was held on May 6th at Foxhall Resort to honor the 25 outstanding individuals who completed the immersive eleven-month program focused on leadership growth and civic engagement. The graduates were led by co-chairs Kenya Elder (LD Class of 2023) from Lead180 Coaching & Consulting, LLC and TJ Jaglinski (LD Class of 2023) from the Douglas County Sherriff’s Office.

Throughout the program, the group participated in a variety of activities including presentations, one-of-a-kind experiences, and fostered an environment of dialogue to drive an even stronger community. Additionally, the class gained an in-depth look into community assets such as Economic Development, Infrastructure, Public Safety and Administration, Criminal Justice, Community Awareness, Education and Workforce Development, Quality of Life, Nonprofits and Systemic Change. Participants interacted with current community and business leaders, gaining contacts and a comprehensive understanding of the community.

In addition to their monthly sessions, the Class of 2025 completed a powerful and far-reaching service project. “Being part of the 2025 Leadership Douglas program was more than just a learning experience—it was a chance to lead with purpose and create lasting change,” said Olivia Smith and Konswella Gilchrist, class project leaders. “Our class set out with a clear goal: to make a meaningful impact on our community and set a standard for future cohorts. We partnered with nine nonprofits, dedicated over 40 hours of volunteer service, and raised an incredible $102,125 to support causes that matter deeply in Douglas County. These numbers represent more than just our efforts—they reflect the heart, commitment, and teamwork of every member of our class. We wanted to prove that when leaders unite around a shared vision, they can move the needle in a big way. Our hope is that future classes will see what we’ve done not as a finish line, but as a starting point to dream even bigger and give even more.”

LD Co-Chairs, Kenya Elder and TJ Jaglinski, commented “You have truly lived up to the title you gave yourselves: the Most Phenomenally Epic Class Ever! Your dedication, teamwork, and passion for our community have been inspiring. Not only have you grown as leaders, but you have also made a tangible difference by raising significant funds to support nonprofit organizations right here in Douglas County. That is leadership in action.”

President and CEO, Sara Ray, commented “The Leadership Douglas Class of 2025 represents a remarkable blend of innovation, service, and community spirit. Their dedication and initiative have not only impacted the organizations they served but also set a new benchmark for what it means to lead with heart in Douglas County. I look forward to seeing their continued influence in our community as alumni and changemakers.”
