DC Chamber to Present State of Healthcare Featuring Dr. Janet Memark on October 16th
The Douglas County Chamber is pleased to announce the State of Healthcare in Douglas County on October 16th. The event, part of the Community Impact Luncheon series will feature guests including Dr. Janet Memark, M.D., the District Health Director for Cobb & Douglas Public Health. The event is proudly sponsored by GreyStone Power Corporation, Cobb & Douglas Public Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Wellstar Douglas, and will take place at 11:45 a.m. at the Douglasville Conference Center

Dr. Memark’s presentation will delve into the latest healthcare dataconcerning Douglas County residents. She will address critical topics such as the prevalence of chronic diseases, access to healthcare services, and the social determinants of health. Furthermore, Dr. Memark will explore the challenges and opportunities our community faces in enhancing the overall health and well-being of its residents. In addition to Dr. Memark’s presentation, representatives from the healthcare sector and community partners will provide insights into the State of Healthcare in Douglas.
In addition to the presentation, the Douglas County Chamber and Cobb & Douglas Public Health will present the annual Health Hero Awards. This recognition celebrates an organization and individual’s efforts to improve and support community health and healthcare infrastructure.
