goBeyondProfit Data Shows Literally Everyone Is Experiencing Burnout

The goBeyondProfit and Georgia CEO 2023 Business Generosity Report revealed shocking levels of employee and executive burnout. It turns out that burnout is a pervasive and cross-generational problem affecting all levels and all sizes of companies. Additionally, the data explains the critical importance of word choice when checking in on employee mental health and offers low-cost solutions to the burnout dilemma.

• Overall burnout: 70% of employed adults in Georgia report some level of burnout in their jobs, with 1-in-5 reporting burnout that affects their work performance. 
• Executive burnout: 67% of executives in Georgia reported some level of burnout with a surprising 9% sharing that it affects their work performance. 
• Generational burnout: We found burnout was not isolated to any one generation. Burnout was reported by 78% of Gen X, 67% of Millennials, 75% of Gen X, and 65% of Baby Boomers.
