Chamber to Host Regional Business Coalition and
Douglas County State Delegation on April 18
Douglasville, GA (March 29, 2023) – The Douglas County Chamber is excited to host their Spring Legislative Wrap-Up & Government Affairs Meeting event on Tuesday, April 18th. The event will take place at the Douglas County High School Sports Complex located at 8705 Campbellton Street and is open to Douglas County Chamber Investors.
The event will kick off with a wrap-up from the 2023 Georgia General Session by the Regional Business Coalition of Metropolitan Atlanta (RBC). The RBC is a not-for-profit association of over a dozen local Chambers of Commerce throughout the metro Atlanta region. Each year, the RBC, in conjunction with all local metro Atlanta Chambers of Commerce, adopts a legislative agenda that outlines the core legislative issues agreed upon by the local Chambers. In addition to the wrap-up, attendees will also hear remarks from the Douglas County State Delegation on legislative session, updates from the Government Affairs Council, and community updates from organizations including schools, universities, government, economic development.
The 2022-24 DCC Strategic Plan includes a pillar focused on advocacy and government relations. This includes an initiative to create and expand events focused on providing greater access to & understanding of state/local political processes and to engage with local legislative leaders on legislative priorities.
