Local Business and Community Leaders Visit State Delegation for

Douglas County Day at the Capitol

The Douglas County Chamber was pleased to present this year’s Douglas County Day at the Capitol on February 27th. The group of 45 community leaders met with Douglas County representatives  to discuss legislative priorities for the community. This was the largest Day at the Capitol to date for Douglas County and the interests of the Douglas community with this diverse group were effectively represented.

The group attended meetings with members of Douglas County’s delegation including, Representative Kimberly New, Representative Kimberly Alexander, Senator Mike Dugan, Representative Roger Bruce,  Representative Mandisha Thomas and Senator Matt Brass. Additionally, representatives from the offices of Governor Brian Kemp, Senator Raphael Warnock and the Regional Business Coalition were in attendance. During the meetings, the group was informed of updates on legislative committees and legislature items that were currently being discussed.

Douglas County Chamber President & CEO, Sara Ray, commented “The Douglas County Chamber is very appreciative of the community and business leaders who took time out of their business to promote our community needs to elected officials at the State Capitol,”
