Annual Festival of Trees Now Accepting Applications to Receive Event Proceeds

Douglas County Festival of Trees is excited to hold its 5^th annual festival this year.  This year’s festival will feature a mix of miniature Christmas trees, full-size Christmas trees, and Christmas wreaths. The festival will begin November 6, 2017.  The festival will culminate in a silent auction, held December 4^th – Noon on December 8^th, where each item will be sold to the highest bidder.

Last year’s Festival of Trees boasted of 42 spectacular Christmas trees and wreaths, and raised $2,800 that benefitted Children’s Voice: CASA, Inc.’s Sweet Case project.  The public will once again have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Christmas tree or wreath based on certain categories.

In order to determine which non-profit organization will receive the proceeds from the silent auction, an application process will be used again this year.  Applications are being accepted now through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  The applications can be found at www.douglascountygeorgia.com/community.
