DC Chamber Photo Contest Call for Submissions
The Douglas County Chamber is sponsoring an exciting new community photo contest for the 2017 Official Community Guide of Douglas County that highlights the best of Douglasville and Douglas County. The Photo Contest is designed to showcase Douglasville and Douglas County at its best to entice interest and attract new residents, and visitors to the area. The contest is free and open to picture takers of all ages and will run October 20th through November 11th.
The Official Community Guide of Douglas County is the go-to publication for residents and visitors alike. As the Official Community Guide for the Douglas County Chamber, Development Authority, Convention & Visitors Bureau and area Welcome Centers, the publication is filled with community information, business resources, and visitor information. “The Chamber would like to give the community an opportunity to capture various aspects of Douglas County, and what better way to promote our community to new residents and visitors than with photos taken by the people who love where they live” commented Sara Ray, DC Chamber Director of Communications and Community Affairs.
Photographers may submit two original high-quality photos in the categories: economic development, healthcare, housing, leisure, family fun, and education. Photographs with people are permitted. Photos must be high-resolution quality. All submitted photos will become photo rights of the Douglas County Chamber.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the four category winners and one overall contest winner. Each category winner will receive a $50 cash prize and the overall winner will receive $200. The winning photo of each category will be featured in the 2017 Official Community Guide of Douglas County. The photographer will receive photo credit in the publication.
