DC Chamber Announces Executive Mentorship Program Participants

The Douglas County Chamber is pleased to announce the participants of the Executive Mentorship Program for 2016. The program is a cornerstone of the DC Chamber’s Young Professionals Connection (YPC), a group committed to “connecting with their peers, community and future” through networking and professional development opportunities.

The Executive Mentorship Program connects ambitious young professionals with seasoned, high-level business leaders to support their professional and personal development. The goal is for mentees feel more rooted in the community and that mentors feel a sense of worth and giving back to the future of Douglasville and Douglas County. Throughout this experience, participants and their mentor are required to meet four times during the ten month program. The content of the meetings is determined by each pair as they set goals at the beginning of the program.

This year’s participants are Katy Klein, Children’s Voice: CASA and her mentor Kali Boatright, DC Chamber; Taylor Pounds, Hughes-Ray Company, Inc. and his mentor Chris Pumphrey, DC Economic Development Authority; Chad Griffin with DC Parks & Recreation and his mentor John Sell, Georgia Power; Karmen Thornton, American Red Cross and her mentor Patti Puckett, Ameriprise Financial; Kyle Gable, Pioneer Land Group and his mentor Howard Ray, Hughes-Ray Company, Inc.; Erica Nelson, Piedmont Foundation and her mentor Ana-Elis Perry; Chad Benton, Gold’s Gym and his mentor Gil Shearouse, WSA; John Scherer, Fame Internet Marketing and his mentor Julian Carter, College and Career Institute; Samantha Rosado, Douglasville Conference Center and her mentor Gail Moore, Custom Plastics & More.
