2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament Champions Hold Title for 2nd Year

The Young Professionals Connection of Douglas County hosted the 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament on Sunday, April 28th at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club in Douglasville.

Despite the torrential downpour, the fundraiser went on as planned and was a record breaking year for the event with over 45 teams participating in the event.  The tournament wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Cornhole Tournament Sponsors; Visiting Angels, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Vineyard Streetball Classic, Douglas County Sentinel and West Georgia Cornhole.

The event proceeds from the Cornhole Tournament benefit annual Leadership Scholarships that are presented to local high school seniors who demonstrate outstanding leadership and community service potential. This year, the final two teams were “Old No. 7” and “Team Money”, who both participated in the tournament last year.  After two rounds of ‘tossing bags’, Team Money took home the title for the second year in a row (pictured).

The Young Professionals Connection is a program through the DC Chamber of rising business and community leaders ages 21-40 who are committed to “connecting with their peers, community, and future” through networking and social events.
