Douglas County Kiwanis Club to hold annual Kids Christmas Special

Dear Fellow Chamber Member:

The Kiwanis Club of Douglas County will be sponsoring the Kids Christmas Special again this year on December 20. Since Kmart has closed, the event will be held at WalMart off Highway 5 in Douglasville.

Under privileged elementary students will be selected from five pre-determined schools to participate in the event. School personnel will choose students who will be taken Christmas shopping. They will be given guidance and direction from both local Douglasville and Douglas County law enforcement, city and county officials and Kiwanis members. Each child will be able to select $100.00 worth of gifts for himself, siblings or parents. No large items nor weapons can be purchased.

Anyone who would be interested in participating in this program by making a donation for a child to shop for Christmas, please make your donation to The Kiwanis Club of Douglas County Foundation, Inc.,
P. O. Box 69, Douglasville, GA 30133. The Kiwanis Club of Douglas County is a 501(c)3 and is fully tax deductable.

Please help us help the underprivileged children of Douglas County have a good Christmas.
