Request for Speakers: Douglas County Small Business Summit

The Douglas County Chamber is now accepting speaker proposals for the 2026 Small Business Summit, a two-day experience designed to educate, connect, and empower entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals from across the region.
The Small Business Summit brings together innovators, experts, and thought leaders to provide practical tools, actionable insights, and meaningful conversations that help businesses thrive in today’s evolving economy.
Breakout sessions will take place on both days and will be presentations that will last 45 minutes with 10 minutes for questions.
We are seeking engaging speakers, panelists, and workshop facilitators who can deliver dynamic, educational, and solution-focused content within one of the following pathways:
Business Resources & Development
Topics may include:
- Access to capital and funding
- Marketing and branding
- Leadership and team development
- Business operations and scalability
- Financial wellness and sustainability
- Entrepreneurship and business strategy
AI & Technology
Topics may include:
- Artificial Intelligence for small businesses
- Automation and productivity tools
- Digital marketing and content creation
- Cybersecurity and data protection
- Technology trends and innovation
- Practical tech tools for growth
Procurement & Business Growth
Topics may include:
- Government contracting
- Corporate procurement opportunities
- Supplier diversity
- Certifications and compliance
- Responding to RFPs
- Business development and strategic partnerships
Speaker Expectations
Selected speakers should provide:
- Educational, non-sales-focused content
- Actionable takeaways attendees can immediately implement
- Interactive and engaging presentations
- Real-world examples, tools, or strategies
Sessions may be presented in workshop, panel, or discussion formats.

Submission Information
To be considered, please submit the following by June 12th:
- Speaker name, title, and organization
- Proposed session title and description
- Preferred pathway/category
- Speaker bio and headshot
- Previous speaking experience (if applicable)
