Douglas County Chamber Welcomes Nadia Faucette as 2023 Board Chairwoman and Announces 2023 Leadership

The Douglas County Chamber (DCC) is pleased to announce three new members of the Chamber Board of Directors, along with this year’s new Board officers. Alicia Doherty with American Red Cross, Heath King with Wellstar Douglas Hospital, and David (D.A.) Wilson with The Wilson Firm, LLC began one-year board terms in January 2023. In addition to new board leadership, Nadia Faucette, Vice President of Engineering with GreyStone Power Corporation will lead the Board as the 2023 Chairwoman.

Faucette joined the Chamber Board in January 2014 and served on Executive Board since 2021. Additionally, Faucette was heavily involved in the creation of the DCC 2022-24 Strategic Plan and was a key component and founding member of Elevate Douglas Economic Partnership since 2020.

In addition to Faucette,  the following individuals will serve as members of the Chamber Board’s Executive Committee for 2023: Superintendent Trent North with Douglas County Schools, Chair Elect; University of West Georgia President Dr. Brendan Kelly, Chair Elect-Elect; Shandron Forte with POSolutions, Inc., Treasurer; and Tonya Byrd with Gilbane Building Company, Immediate Past Chair.

“We’re delighted to add such a strong cohort of leaders to our Board,” said Chamber President & CEO Sara Ray. “They represent a wide array of industries and backgrounds, and they share a deep commitment to the economic success of our community.”

The Chamber Board of Directors held its first meeting of 2023 on Wednesday, January 18th and the passing of the gavel to install Faucette as Chairwoman will take place at the 78th Annual Winter Ball & Community Awards on February 4th.

Kyle Gable, Pioneer Land Group; Athena Bryant, Synovus; Paul Zachos, The Zachos Team; Beverly Tate, Gordon Food Services; Aaron McCullough, HRC Engineers, Surveyors & Landscape Architects; and Elena Hudson, Hudson’s Hickory House.
