DC Chamber Foundation Announces Youth Leadership Douglas Mentor Program Participants

Douglasville, GA (October 26, 2020) The Douglas County Chamber Foundation is pleased to announce the participants of the 2020 Youth Leadership Douglas (YLD) Mentor Program. The YLD Mentor Program provides the opportunity for students that complete YLD during their junior year to expand their network and gain additional skills the first half of their senior year.

The YLD Mentor program connects ambitious high school seniors with seasoned business leaders to support their career aspirations and personal development. Throughout this experience, participants and their mentor are required to meet independently three times during the three-month program in addition to group meetings. The content of the meetings are determined by each pair as they set goals at the beginning of the program.

Participant Hannah Jackson stated about her mentor after starting the program, “Ms. Heather has been helpful in coming up with activities that align with what I want to do career-wise. Her advice is helping me find a clearer path.”
