Kritters Country Club Finds a New Home in Douglasville

DSCF0166Kritters Country Club, Douglasville’s premier pet boarding and daycare facility, has found a new home. As the result of rapid growth since opening its doors in 2011, the business recently moved to a larger building located at 7377 W. Strickland Street. Owner, Beth Mitchell, staff, clients, and Chamber representatives celebrated the opening of the new facility with a ribbon cutting Thursday, July 17th.

In just four years, Kritters Country Club has become a favorite among pet owners in Douglas County and surrounding areas. With more consumers making significant investments in away-from-home care and the appearance of their pets, the facility answers the need for safe and affordable lodging and expert grooming services.

Owner Beth Mitchell and her staff are dedicated to providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment for dogs, cats and other small pets when they are away from home. Whether their clients are there for boarding, daycare or grooming, the professional and courteous staff is committed to providing the best possible care and ensuring they feel safe, secure and loved.

“We love all the ‘furry babies’ who come to visit and treat them as if they are part of our own families,” says Mitchell.

The new Kritters Country Club sits on nearly five wooded acres easily accessed from surface roads and the interstate. The former site of a custom cabinet manufacturer, the 9,500-square-foot building has been transformed into a first-class pet care facility with kennels to accommodate dogs of all sizes, six daycare rooms, four exercise yards, a large cat room and on-site professional grooming services.  The facility also boasts a state-of-the-art surface and air disinfectant system that kills allergens, viruses, bacteria and mold before they have a chance of causing illness or infection, maintaining a healthy environment for pets and employees.

Pets are provided comprehensive care while they are boarding that includes feeding, administration of medications and human interaction. Kritters Country Club also provides access to affordable exams, vaccines and other veterinary services through its monthly vaccine clinic with a licensed veterinarian.

Douglas County Chamber President and CEO, Kali Boatright, congratulated Beth on behalf of Douglas County Chamber, “we are so proud to stand here today with you and celebrate your growth and new location. We appreciate you choosing to continue to locate your business in Douglasville, and look forward to many more years with your business!” commented Boatright.
