The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to
announce that the Annual Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, February 4th. The Centre at Arbor Connection will be the site for the 66th annual banquet sponsored by West Georgia Technical College. The Banquet will install Mr. Alan Smith as Chairman of the Board.
The Chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our business and community leaders. The Douglas County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award, Citizen of the Year Award, the Large Business of the Year Award, and the Douglas County Chamber Spirit Award.
The Sam P. Roberts Community Service Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exemplary community service over the past year while the Citizen of the Year Award is focused on lifetime achievement & is presented to the Douglas County resident who has exhibited outstanding service in every aspect of giving to their community. Nominations are also open for the 2011 Large Business of the Year. The awards recognize the
accomplishments & contributions of business towards the economic good health and vitality of our community, in the areas of products, services, marketing, customer & employee
relationships, community support, & entrepreneurial spirit.
The Douglas County Chamber Spirit Award recognizes an individual who is always committed to an untiring effort and generously works toward the advancement of the Douglas County Chamber of Commerce and the community. The recipient makes a sacrifice of time, helps improve quality of life, motivates others and enhances the integrity of the Douglas County community.
Nominations should be submitted with a nomination form and should be completed and returned to the Chamber no later than December 9th, 2011. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber and on the website, www.douglascountygeorgia.com.
