The Farmer’s Table owner, Susan Henderson, family, staff, customers and Chamber representatives celebrated the grand opening of their new Sweet Shop by holding a DC Chamber Ribbon Cutting on May 30th. The Farmer’s Table is a local business and cafe featuring fresh fruits and vegetables sourcing those foods as close to home as possible. They are located at 3670 Highway 5 in Douglasville.
Established in 2001, Farmer’s Table strives to make every customer’s visit one they will not forget. In the Café, they serve breakfast and lunch as well as desserts, coffee, and smoothies. Most of the items on the shelf including jams, jellies, dressings, breads, and ciders are made locally in Georgia. Throughout the year, the Farmer’s Table also sells King Cakes, pumpkins, and Christmas trees.
Farmer’s Table’s new addition, the Sweet Shop, serves desserts, coffees, pastries and more! The new expansion also provides an event space for small gatherings such as bridal showers, wedding parties, birthdays, baby showers, and more. They also provide catering for family and business events.
Chamber President and CEO, Sara Ray, congratulated Susan, “Your new expansion is beautiful; we know you have worked very hard over the last few years to make this a reality. We look forward to continuing to support and promote The Farmer’s Table as you serve the community delicious food in your café and now the Sweet Shop. It is sure to be the hot spot of the summer!”
