Thirteen young creative talents at Chapel Hill Middle School currently have their work on display at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. The 7th and 8th grade advanced art students will have their masterpieces displayed in the Student Pop Up Show during the month of October. The engaging art exhibit allows students from across the metro Atlanta area the opportunity to showcase their work in a museum setting.
Douglas County Visual Arts Resource Teacher Melody Chambers says the exhibit is a pivotal moment for each student artist. “I am proud that the art community has the opportunity to witness some of the tremendous artistic talent coming out of the Douglas County System. These works highlight just a small sampling of the works of our school’s best artists and showcases the creative potential and power we see in every student.”
The colorful and imaginative works were all accomplished by each young artist with a variety of mediums. Participating student artists and their families received free admission to the High Museum of Art for the month of October.
